What does “Kind-Words” do?

This plug-in add the custom post-type ‘Testimonials’ to your dashboard.  From there you can add, edit, erase, and manage customer testimonials as you would any other type of post.

The main highlights of this plugin are:

• Centered: Vertical and horizontal centering in the output area. Plus, a novel centered-title approach that keeps your current testimonial centered.  This is especially good for mobile!
• Flexible: Percentage-based, fluid and free layout will fit nearly any theme well.
• Performance: Simple and light-weight, using CSS3 animations with a jQuery fallback.
• Roomy: Looking for something that has room for your long gushing praise?  Easily fits up to
• Simple: Looking for something that uses a simple shortcode to get things going?  No arguments, no complex parameters.  Minimal styling and good dom structure ensure that this plugin can look like it was made for your site.
• Familiar: Nothing new to learn here.  Making a testimonial is just like making any other kind of post.  Editing and managing them works the way you expect, and you can even store drafts, schedule publish dates, and anything else you do with posts – Kind-words will only use your public, published, testimonials.

How to use

Installation: This plugin can be installed any time.

Adding Testimonials: If you have existing Testimonial posts from another plugin, this will use them out-of-the-box. If not, you will notice a new tab: Testimonials, in your word-press administration menu.  Just add an edit posts there as you would with any other kind of post-type.

note: Assign a featured-image for your testimonial and it will appear beneath the text.  To do something different with an image, you could also just add it directly to the content.

Displaying Testimonials: To invoke the slideshow, just add the short-code ‘kind-words’ to any post, page, or theme area where shortcodes are allowed.  Publish, and take in the view!

Installation

1. Unzip `kind_words.zip` inside the `/wp-content/plugins/` directory (or install via the built-in WordPress plugin installer)
2. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ admin menu in WordPress and the checkboxes will be off next time you go to create a page.
