Whenever I start a fresh CENTOS setup, I like to install certain dev tools. These server tools make all kinds of configuration tweaks and help make sure we have all the interface bells and whistles like colored terminal output, nano as default editor, etc.
$ sudo yum groupinstall "Development Tools"
I am always looking for that, so I’m saving this post as a stub, and in case any of you are looking for it too. The best thing is that this installs Git and Subversion very easily onto my centos 6.x setup. :0
